Welcome to Lighthaven, Part 1

The property has a name—Lighthaven. Haven of light.

And light it is in many ways.

There is a brightness that is apparent as one steps onto Lighthaven. The open area is filled with light, blindingly beautiful light. The wooded area, dubbed Havenwood, is sun-dappled, a myriad shades of green streaked with golden sunlight. Rich yet cool.

 A mystical sanctuary for meditation.

God is clearly present at Lighthaven. In the ever-present breeze. The sparkle of sunlight on insect wings. The call of birds in flight. The blush of apples ripening.

All dwell in perfect harmony, awaiting the arrival of Lucinda.

Lucinda, the tiny house, has not yet been moved. A septic system, required by the township, was installed after a two month wait for permits and approvals. Suitable foundations to rest Lucinda (and her counterpart, Laelwynne) are being created. Laelwynne is a tiny, tiny house being built for Kenna Rose out of leftover materials from Lucinda. Mother and offspring?

This one is partaking in small summer enhancement projects (which seem to make more work for James): a new mailbox as the old had been battered and beaten and slightly rusty, twisted up as it were with the newspaper box.

A fire pit was created with rocks from Lighthaven as well as Lake Superior, along with leftover siding from Lucinda. An essential gathering place for worship and meditation.

Already a stream of neighbors have stopped by Lighthaven to both welcome and to marvel at the changes—perhaps even a little curious about the new owners?

This could prove alarming for a recluse who prefers solitude.

However, in time, one will become invisible. As this one has been for most of one's life. Alone and yet not lonely. It is preferable.

For one must prepare for the journey to come.

For the Lord calls and must be answered.
